    COST OF STUDYING IN FRANCE

    The average tuition prices for international students will vary depending on the universities in France that they choose. It will also differ based on your course and nationality, whether you are from an EU or non-EU country.

    FRANCE IMMIGRATION

    The deadlines for applying to universities in France vary. Nonetheless, the two most important intakes are:

    ☑ Intake 1: Summer Semester - It begins in October and is the most important intake.

    ☑ Intake 2: Winter Semester - It begins in April and is only offered for certain courses.

    ☑ International students on a student visa are permitted to work for a total of 964 hours a year, or 60% of the regular working hours in France.

    ☑ Part-time work would not be enough to cover all of the expenses, but it might be used as a supplement.

     

    If you are a student on a France study visa,

    ☑ You must be at least 18 years old.

    ☑ A short-stay visa will be provided for a training course lasting no more than three months.

    ☑ If your training course lasts more than three or six months, you will be awarded a temporary long-stay visa, which will require no additional formalities upon your arrival in France.

    ☑ For training or a course lasting more than six months, you will be awarded a long-stay visa, which is similar to a residence permit and will be subject to additional requirements upon your arrival in France.

    Spouse: The dependent will be granted a visitor's visa but will not be permitted to work. If their partner/spouse is employed in France, they may be permitted to work in the nation.

    ☑ Bachelor degree holders can stay in France only if they have a work visa; students doing Masters in France can apply for and receive a temporary residency permit – APS (Autorisation Provisoire de Séjour) – for a term of 24 months.

    ☑ Students with a master's, PhD, or post-graduate degree from one of France's universities are eligible for a two-year Schengen visa extension.

    ☑If a student can find work that pays more than 1.5 times the minimum wage guarantee, he or she is qualified to apply for a Work Permit, which is the key condition for obtaining a European Union Blue Card (Permanent Residence).
