Eligible applicants may submit an online profile to the Express Entry Pool using a point-based system referred to as the comprehensive ranking system (CRS), in which candidates’ profiles are ranked against one another. Six key elements are used to assign points. Additionally, a suitable employment offer and provincial nomination earn points. The more points you get, the more likely you are to be approved for express entry immigration to Canada for Permanent Residency. The application process under this approach typically takes six to twelve months or less. One must determine whether they meet the Federal Skilled Worker, Canadian Experience Class, or Federal Skilled Trades eligibility requirements. When you have accumulated the appropriate points for visa approval, you can formally request to immigrate to Canada and eventually become a permanent resident through your Express Entry profile. The Canada express entrance point scale has a maximum score of 1200 and examines you and your spouse on a variety of characteristics, including:

The points cut-off is determined by a CRS draw done almost every two weeks by Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). An express entry applicant may remain in the pool for up to 12 months; if they do not receive an ITA during that time period, they must build a new profile and re-enter the pool. Candidates who receive an invitation to apply must then submit their permanent residency application and associated processing costs within 60 days of receiving the invitation.
